Cooking with Lala

The mini-munchkin sure enjoyed cooking with her grandma (affectionately called "Lala") while we were back in South Carolina. My mom loved having a cooking buddy. One evening they cooked us all Mushroom and Spinach Quiche with Potato Crust. It was SO yummy!

Do you have any fun memories cooking with your grandma or mom as a child?

au revoir, adieu, ciao, till next time...

I do. My grandmothers were all about food. Not fancy food, but feed the husband, kids and workers, farmer cooks.

My daughter cooks occasionally with me, she is more interested now that she is planning on moving to her own apartment, but she didn't cook with my mom. My mom used to cook when I was little but the older she gets the less she does.

Pre-made, pre-baked, packaged, bottled...ugh!

So fun!!! And even better that you recorded it this way for them! While we were growing up, my mom's business was always super busy at Christmas time and didn't allow us to do much baking at that time. So instead we made a Valentine's Day tradition of baking heart shaped cookies and delivery them to our neighbors. We always looked forward to it!

My husband cooks all the time with our daughter. I think those will be some of the memories she has forever.
