Here's mine:

*Mud holes and laughs*

Earlier this summer my munchkins discovered the wonderment of mud!

Zane was so excited mommy let them "have at it."

I think Audrey had mud in her ears for days after this...

Even our dog Louie got into the action :)

I remember thinking at the time all this was happening "Oh my gosh, look at all that mud I'm going to have to clean off them! Ahhh, and give the dog a bath?! I'm doomed!" But once I took a deep breathe and sat on my nice deck I quit freaking out and let them play till their hearts content.

I know someday this will be a distant memory, and my babies will no longer want to splash in the mud. Thank you Pam for helping me see how many "moments" will be gone too soon and to appreciate every one of them, no matter how dirty, sticky, or crazy they are.

Peace Day... Today

Today is the official day of Peace around the world. Did you know there was such a day? It became an official "holiday" On September 7, 2001. And each year this wonderful day spreads wider around the world.

Today I made a commitment to teach my children about the importance of a day when we all stop and do something, anything, for a peaceful world.

Can you even imagine how wonderful it would be for just ONE DAY guns were put down, and bombs weren't killing innocent people. It makes me feel like there is hope for our troubled world.

Sunday Signspotting: week nine

Believe it or not, Te Puke is actually the name of a town in New Zealand known for its fresh produce. Maybe the locals simply ate too much of it.

All stilettos must be fitted with outdoor spikes before climbing.

Possible motto: They come for the tofu salad with but they stay for the fudge.

At least, according to submitter, Friendship was short – just one block long.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Presenting: Lauren Elaine Gorman

I would like to take a moment to introduce you all to my new cousin, Lauren Elaine Gorman. Mommy and Daddy (Allison and Doug) are doing wonderful and are so excited to add this cute little baby girl to their family. She weighted 8 lbs. 4oz. and measured 19 inches long. Lauren has an older brother and sister to help keep an eye on her.

Congratulations guys, She is beautiful! I wish we were closer in miles to see her in person.

Poor Silly Angel

Today Audrey had minor Oral surgery. She did great, currently she is lounging on the couch watching "Cinderella 3" laying with her favorite pillow and stuffed animal. She was such a trooper this morning.

When the dentist first took us back to the room Audrey was nervous, understandably so. But oh boy, once they gave her the sedation medication it was on. I haven't giggled with my little girl like that in a long time. She had gone to the land of silliness. She kept trying to touch her tongue and then poke her eye instead. Then she began making funny animal noises while sitting upside down. I felt sad she had to have this done, but I was also glad to see her enjoying it quite a bit.

After about an hour it was all done and I carried my floppy, sleepy, silly child back to the car. Now the emotional side has kicked in. She keeps letting out little whimpers for her daddy. She wants a hug from him. (He's working and can't get home till tonight.)

So today will probably be a "TV day" the kids don't get those very often since I don't want their brains to turn to mush. But, I think we'll just veg out and watch movies today. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
