Warning! Geek Alert, Star Wars Language

Today the yucky nose running was passed on to not only me, but also my mini-munchkin. (remember, the dramatic one?) Luckily she is handling the sniffles passed on from her older brother very well. So in attempt t make everybody feel better I popped in Star Wars: Episode 4.

If you go here and read about my sons obsession with Star Wars you will understand why it would make him feel better. Or you can go here and see him imitating Anikin Skywalker.

I love all the Star Wars movies, but there is something about this one in particular I love. Maybe it's from being a little tom-boy girl, watching this movie and imagining galaxies far far away. I'm not sure, but the opening scene when Darth Vader enters Princess Leia's ship to apprehend her makes me feel like a child, I get so excited "It's Darth Vader, run Leia, RUN!"

I have recently come to realize that my own nostalgic love with Star Wars may be why my son enjoys it so much, so we just had to cuddle up on the couch, tissues in hand, loving the "old movies." Don't get me wrong, I do like the new ones too, the older ones just hold a special place in my own heart. See exhibit A where I share funny pictures of Lego Star Wars characters in action. (yup, geek through and through...)

Oh well, of all the things I pass onto my children a big imagination is one I will gladly take credit for. My mom will agree, I have never lacked in the imagination department :)

I am off to enjoy this great old flick with my runny nosed munchkins. I better hurry, Luke Skywalker just found Obi Wan Kenobi in the desert of Tatooine!!!

Ta Ta for now
