AAaaAaahhHHHhhhH

I know I have been MIA in the blog comment world. I am sorry, I try my best to share the love I receive. But, this week has been trying. I am amazed that I am still sane. Mothers and wives all over the world will forever have my respect for surviving kids/husbands!!!

I'll be back to reading your blogs soon, just a few more days of insanity and I should be good to go :)

I hope you all have a wonderful, super duper weekend!

Tree House

Yesterday while driving around the neighborhood we want to buy a house in I saw something shining in the trees. It was quite curious, so I pulled the car over and the kids and I went to investigate what was in there. Up a little path, through the brush and we found this!

A super fun tree house. The kids were so excited, so was I! Who built this? Why is it still hear? The munchkins played till they were ready to pass out. It was so funny, right there in the middle of the desert, a tree house. We for sure will be coming back to this gem in the sand.

Did you have a tree house, or a fort as a kid? I used to love tying ropes from limbs and making tree forts like Tarzan when I was young. I loved climbing trees, nothing was more fun then reaching the top!

Hope you all have a wonderful day, I am off to do more house hunting... The never ending journey to find the "right" place.

Home Stuff

Our family has been on a roller coaster ride dealing with the crazy housing market. There are wonderful advantages to buying while the market is so low, but there are also many disadvantages when dealing with banks and new guidelines. If you'd like to read about our recent hiatus head on over to Homemaking Hullabaloo.

Today was quite an adventure driving all over the West Valley of Phoenix house hunting. The mini munchkin did so good being carted from place to place. My hubby and I headed up to a place called "Estrella Mountain Ranch" and saw this in the middle of the desert:

I was very impressed with this community. *sigh* It's so hard to find the perfect home, but I know it's out there. Hope you all have a super day!

Sunday Signspotting: week twenty six

Well, this has been a roller coaster week of emotions. No I don't have PMS! I wish that was all that was wrong. This darn economy is messing up my plans to build a dream home :( We keep getting major red flags from the banks, even the builder now and I don't want to end up with a half finished house, no roof over head, no more money saying "why didn't we listen to our gut feeling?" I refuse to be blind to what is happening across the country. So... with a heavy heart I fear the building plans will have to be put away for another day. I haven't talked to the "big man" with the builders yet to make it official, that'll come Tuesday. So here are some funny signs to make us ALL laugh and smile today, enjoy!

(Please be aware that I did not take these pictures, i just put them here for your viewing pleasure.)

Good thing they understand water conservation!

A rant about what not to do... or is it what to do..?

I've always known red squirrels for having a lead foot, strange.

Hey, that's not very nice.

What a helpful sign!

I'm speechless

You're Gonna Miss This... Moment, mini-munchkin days

I already miss my long days with my munchkin before he went off to school, now I have to savor the days i have with the mini-munchkin before she heads off to school next year. I will miss the fun moments when we venture off to the local park and get some "mommy & daughter" time.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Wordless Wednesday, This Is Me Video

We're back from a much needed trip to see the family in Northern Cali. I love them all so much. Thank goodness we have moved closer and can enjoy them all more often :)

This adorable video of my munchkin singing "This Is Me" from CAMP ROCK was taken by my beautiful cousin KA (she's who you hear singing towards the end.)

Both of my munchkins love everything about CAMP ROCK. Music is very big in our family (my Daddy-O is an Amazing drummer!) so it was only natural they would like this movie. OK, to be honest, I enjoyed it too :) I hope you all have has a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the "wordless" Wednesday serenade!

Warning! Geek Alert, Star Wars Language

Today the yucky nose running was passed on to not only me, but also my mini-munchkin. (remember, the dramatic one?) Luckily she is handling the sniffles passed on from her older brother very well. So in attempt t make everybody feel better I popped in Star Wars: Episode 4.

If you go here and read about my sons obsession with Star Wars you will understand why it would make him feel better. Or you can go here and see him imitating Anikin Skywalker.

I love all the Star Wars movies, but there is something about this one in particular I love. Maybe it's from being a little tom-boy girl, watching this movie and imagining galaxies far far away. I'm not sure, but the opening scene when Darth Vader enters Princess Leia's ship to apprehend her makes me feel like a child, I get so excited "It's Darth Vader, run Leia, RUN!"

I have recently come to realize that my own nostalgic love with Star Wars may be why my son enjoys it so much, so we just had to cuddle up on the couch, tissues in hand, loving the "old movies." Don't get me wrong, I do like the new ones too, the older ones just hold a special place in my own heart. See exhibit A where I share funny pictures of Lego Star Wars characters in action. (yup, geek through and through...)

Oh well, of all the things I pass onto my children a big imagination is one I will gladly take credit for. My mom will agree, I have never lacked in the imagination department :)

I am off to enjoy this great old flick with my runny nosed munchkins. I better hurry, Luke Skywalker just found Obi Wan Kenobi in the desert of Tatooine!!!

Sick Foods

My Munchkin isn't feeling well, I think he has a little chest cold. Poor guy :( We leave for California on Wednesday to visit family and I would hate for him to miss out on adventures with his cousins due to illness.

As a little girl, when I was sick my mom would always give me flat soda, toast (cut into triangles of course) and
chicken noodle soup. It always warmed me up and made me feel better. Even today whenever I have these items I smile and remember my mom taking care of me.

I have the soup all ready for my little man.
I hope my munchkins look back on these memories and smile as well. As a mom now, I understand why my mom did these things. It is heart breaking to watch your kids suffer, even the tiniest bit.

What did your mom or dad do for you when you were a sick child? Do you do the same things for your kids?

Sunday Signspotting: week twenty four

Good morning everyone! I had a great sleep, both my munchkins were snuggled up with me in bed and I was even able to sleep in :) Also, The Arizona Cardinals beat the Carolina Panthers last night which means I am going to get a clean house! My hubby and I like to make friendly bets on football games sometimes, and my team pick won, yeah me! My dad wanted to be part of the signspotting mumbo jumbo and e-mailed me this gem below (obviously photoshopped at the end) be sure to read it all the way. Have a great week everyone!

They are obviously worried about the influence of JK Rowling on their flock

No dictator-style speeches, no walking rocking-dogs, no prancing around in your underwear... Really, what are you allowed to do at the fortress?

A great way to make tourists feel really welcome...

A liberal approach to drugs trafficking.

What to buy for those people who already have everything.

(it says "Car Park Full") Is the car park full or half empty?

No open tin cans, No parking bikes on cars, No disco dancing, No swimming, No stick waving...FUN!
